Did anyone else’s mom used to make salmon patties when they were growing up?
Honestly, now that i’m about to become a mom for the first time, i’ve been really looking back at all the things my mom used to do for dinners and appreciating the simple, but tasty meals she always made for us! We were a “eat dinner at 6pm around the table together” family and my mom always made dinner too.
One of those meals that I remember loving was salmon patty night! They were always so tasty and now that mom has shared her “secret” recipe with me, I know why they were in our regular dinner rotation!
These bad boys require just a few simple ingredients that you probably already have in your pantry and fridge. So you don’t have to run around to 7 different stores to get a “pinch” of one ingredient. No, no my friends. This recipe is easy and delicious. Plus, it’s one of the things i’m putting in my Postpartum Meal Prep Plan.

Next time you’re at the store, grab yourself a couple cans of salmon and then you’ll basically be ready to make this recipe at a moments notice!
The prep time is about 5 minutes. The cook time is about 6 minutes. The enjoyment time is about 1 minutes – you have been warned that they will be scarfed up quickly!
And one of my absolute FAVORITE ways to enjoy these salmon patties is on top of a fresh salad. I actually place them right from the sizzling skillet on top of the salad and then drizzle with either the Tessemae’s lemon garlic dressing or their Green Goddess dressing. Holy cow it is delish.
In a mixing bowl, add in the salmon, egg, crushed crackers, seasonings & mayo. Combine it all together.
Over medium-low heat in a sauté pan, add in the butter to melt while you make the patties.
Lay out a piece of parchment paper & begin forming your patties. You should get six 2.5oz patties out of the salmon mix.
Then once the butter is melted, turn the head to medium and add in all the patties, cooking them on each side for 3.5 minutes until they are golden brown. Then you're ready to enjoy!!
